I’m Ujjal Sarker, student of United International University and awarded Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for undergraduate exchange program in Corvinus University of Budapest under eLINK project. I had some good experience in Hungary. We visited most of the three beautiful places (e.g. Chain Bridge, Royal Castle, Castle Hill). Beauty is every where in these places by nature, outlook and architecture. These are especially looking very gorgeous in the evening light and lighting at night. A fact on a bad experience is my money bag had been pick pocketed in 10th of October 2009 from Baross street. Except that everything seems quite OK.

E-link project - How efficient can it work for Computer Science students in Hungary?
by A.K.M. Ehsanullah, e-Link scholar from Bangladesh.

The overall objective of the project states that:
“To promote the EU higher education system in the participating Asian countries in particular, the least develped countries (Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, China and Thailand), in order to enhance the attractiveness of European higher education.”
Corvinus University of Budapest participated in the E-link project from Hungary. The university has many faculties of education to choose for higher education, such as business, economics, social science, environmental science, information systems, etc. but unfortunately, core computer courses are not offered here. This creates a problem for the students of Computer Science and engineering background. They find few courses offered in their relevant fields. So I think to mitigate the situation Corvinus can open a faculty of Computer Science. Or it can collaborate with other well-know Hungarian technical universities and/or institutions to arrange computer science-related courses. This would gear the project towards attracting more Computer Science scholars from participating countries.

by Md. Muhidul Islam Khan, e-Link

I am Md. Muhidul Islam Khan. I have come in Hungary for post graduation exchange programs under e-Link project. The eLINK (east-west Link for Innovation, Networking and Knowledge exchange) is an EU project that aims to promote the EU higher education system in Asian countries and improve education, teaching and research activities in ICT, Engineering, Technology, Business and Management in participating institutions. Five EU institutions and six of their Asian Partner Universities have joined this program to enhance communication, collaboration, cultural awareness and understanding of current and future needs of the Higher Educational Institutes. I am from Bangladesh. I have completed my B.Sc in Computer Science & Engineering. Now I am a post graduate student. My home institution is Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET). I am selected for Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary for this exchange program. I am enjoying this exchange program so far. I think it will be helpful for me to share and gather knowledge. This will help to promote European education systems in Asian countries like Bangladesh. At first I was worried because the subjects that the varsity offered were not so much related with my background but now I am assured that we can gather knowledge about e-commerce and e-governance from here. The knowledge of e-commerce and e-governance can help me to make a future plan for my country. So far I am enjoying the beauty of city Budapest. If I am asked to mention some tremendous beautiful places, I will say about chain bridge and castle hill. The Chain Bridge is one of Budapest's most famous landmarks. The magnificent suspension bridge the river Danube between Pest and Buda, at the time still separate cities. Another beauty is castle hill. Rising 48 meters above the Danube, the Castle Hill or Várhegy nevertheless dominates the city. This hill is the place where Budapest was founded. It is a small, densely built rock, with the Buda Castle as the most prominent building. I am enjoying my everyday in Budapest. The experience that I am acquiring here will be a milestone in my life.

The country I came to know
by A.K.M. Ehsanullah, e-Link scholar from Bangladesh.

At last I came to the land of the historical places of the less-known country in the world map — Hungary. It was a great pleasure to have such kind of an opportunity to visit an European nation build on historical landmarks and vibrant culture. The country hosts a generation of loving, friendly people. The modern architecture blends amicably with the ancient contours of the historical places. Local supermarkets are customized under the roofs of some lone historic structures. Trams criss-cross the main utcas (in Hungarian in English means streets) forming the bloodline of of the city. Buses pick up passengers time to time from selected stations. Also the underground metro works in lieu with them with good efficiency. Though English is not that much fluently spoken, Hungary boasts of a reputation of a tourist destination.
